Despite worries over the economy, art glass continues to remain a strong sell at auction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In our last sale a fantastic and extremely rare &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Plated Amberina Hanging Lamp&lt;/span&gt; brought a record hammer price of $26,000.00.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The auction also featured a magnificently decorated &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Mt. Washington Peachblow Pitcher&lt;/span&gt; - considered by many to be the finest piece of decorated Peachblow ever made. Leading the cameo was a gorgeous, detailed &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#George-Woodall-Plaque-Thomas-Webb-Sons"&gt;cameo plaque&lt;/a&gt;, executed and signed by &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#George-Woodall-Plaque-Thomas-Webb-Sons"&gt;George Woodall for Thomas Webb &amp;amp; Sons&lt;/a&gt; depicting a Sirene among the waves. The piece brought $30,000. An &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Chien-Lung-Style-Webb-Cameo-Vase"&gt;extremely rare, seven color Webb Vase in the Chien Lung style&lt;/a&gt; raced to $36,000. A &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#English-Cameo-Vase-William-Fritsche"&gt;museum quality cameo vase&lt;/a&gt; attributed to &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#English-Cameo-Vase-William-Fritsche"&gt;William Fritsche&lt;/a&gt;, featuring heavy decoration and bold coloring, climbed past the $25,000-$30,000 estimate to sell for $52,500.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;From &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Tiffany-Studios-Pony-Apple-Blossom-Table-Lamp"&gt;Tiffany Studios&lt;/a&gt;, it was the beautiful table lamps that shone the brightest. An elaborate &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Tiffany-Studios-Pony-Apple-Blossom-Table-Lamp"&gt;Tiffany Pony Apple Blossom with a bronze tree trunk base&lt;/a&gt; sold for $145,000 and a fabulous &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Tiffany-Studios-Peony-Leaded-Glass-Bronze-Table-Lamp"&gt;Tiffany Peony table lamp&lt;/a&gt; in rich hues brought $127,500.  A rare &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Tiffany-Studios-Aquamarine-Paperweight-Vase"&gt;Tiffany aquamarine vase&lt;/a&gt; in bold colors brought $37,500. A rare &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Steuben-Rose-Quartz-Acid-Cut-Back-Vase"&gt;Steuben Rose Quartz acid-cut-back vase&lt;/a&gt; sold for $12,500 and an eye catching &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Steuben-Decorated-Green-Gold-Aurene-AlabasterVase"&gt;Steuben vase in green jade with gold Aurene overlay&lt;/a&gt; hammered at $12,000.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A rare &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Rare-Mt-Washington-Royal-Flemish-Covered-Vase"&gt;Royal Flemish covered piece with rich colors in a peacock decoration&lt;/a&gt; soared past the $15,000-$20,000 estimate to sell for $30,000. An extremely rare &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#Rare-Webb-Alexandrite-Vase"&gt;Webb Alexandrite vase in a jack-in-the-pulpit form&lt;/a&gt; got the bids going and soared high above the $3,000- $5,000 estimate to sell for $12,500. A rare &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#New-England-Plated-Amberina-Cream-Pitcher"&gt;New England Plated Amberina creamer&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://www.earlyauctionco.com/art-glass-auction-features.asp#New-England-Plated-Amberina-Sugar-Bowl"&gt;sugar&lt;/a&gt; were sold separately at the auction, with the creamer bringing $15,000 and the sugar selling for $10,000.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In addition to these treasures, Early's always offers a fantastic selection of mid-range glass, which is an excellent way for the beginning collector to acquire fantastic pieces at fantastic prices.
